SHIELD is a water-thinnable exterior wall coating that gives excellent performance in dry or moderately humid climatic conditions. It is an ideal substitute for ordinary paints and requires to water curing Light fastness of shades is satisfactory under normal exposure conditions. The coated film is resistant to algae & fungus growth.
CLEANING: The surface should be free from loose paint din or grease etc. Any previous growth of fungus algae or moss needs to be properly cleaned with Shield Bioclean followed by wire brush and cleaning with water.
FILLING: All surface cracks up to 3-4 mm to be filled & leveled with Shield Crackseal Paste, while surface cracks more than 4mm and up to 12mm should be filled with cement and sand in the ratio of 1/3 Apply 2 coats of Shield Wallguard cement putty to smoothen the surface.
TOP COAT: Apply 2-3 coats of Shield by diluting the life of Shield with 450ml of tap water. An Interval of 4-6 hours should be given between two coats.3 coats are recommended on ledges, parapets and other horizontal surfaces, and 3 coats are also recommended for dark shades.
PRIMER: Freshly plastered surfaces must be allowed to nature for 618 weeks Onsuch surfaces apply one coat prime extenor wall primer by diluting liter anmer with the fit of tap water Allow it to dry for 4-6mours as per me weather conditions.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS/MAINTENANCE TIPS
For the Best performance of the paint ensure proper washing and cleaning of all algal and fungal growth Stir the paint thoroughly and strain before use. Store Shield in a cool and dry place. Keep the container tightly closed when not in use Wash the brush/equipment with water immediately after use.
Lead contents do not exceed 90 ppm.
